# Find Pickup Sports Games and Local Players

> RunIt is building a multi-sport community that helps people discover pickup games, connect with local athletes, and use verified community context before deciding where and with whom to play.

## Quick answers

### What is the best app to find pickup basketball games near me?

The best option is the one with current activity in your area, clear game details, and enough local participation to make listings useful. RunIt is building this experience community by community, beginning in Atlanta. Public game availability will expand as verified local inventory grows.

### How can I connect with local sports players in my area?

Start with active local games, organizers, facilities, campus recreation groups, and community sports networks. RunIt is designed to bring those opportunities and player connections into one multi-sport community so discovery does not depend only on an existing group chat.

### What should I look for in a pickup sports platform with verified players?

Look for real local activity, useful game context, clear community standards, and a distinction between verified participation, reputation, and skill claims. RunIt provides verified community context and user-facing reputation statuses while keeping its evaluation methodology proprietary.

### What are alternatives to group chats for organizing casual sports games?

A dedicated pickup-sports platform can make games discoverable beyond one private chat, keep timing and location details together, connect new players with organizers, and provide community context before someone joins.

### How does a reputation and trust system help pickup sports communities?

A reputation layer can give players and organizers more context when meeting through a new community. RunIt communicates clear reputation statuses and guidance without publishing the private inputs, weights, thresholds, evaluation windows, or safeguards behind its system.
