Terms

Terms of Use

Effective: September 13, 2026

These Terms govern access to runitteam.com and the current RunIt beta application operated by RunIt HQ, Inc. (“RunIt”). The beta is under active development and is currently limited to adults age 18 or older.

Eligibility and accounts

You may use the current beta only if you are at least 18 years old, legally able to enter these Terms, and permitted to use the service under applicable law. You must provide accurate account information, safeguard your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. RunIt may reject, suspend, or close accounts that violate these Terms or create safety, security, or legal risk.

Independent sports activities and assumption of risk

RunIt helps people discover, communicate about, and organize independent sports activities. Sports, exercise, travel, venues, weather, equipment, and interactions with other people involve inherent risks, including serious injury, illness, property loss, and death. You decide whether to participate and are responsible for assessing your own abilities, health, equipment, venue conditions, transportation, and the people with whom you interact. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks of activities you choose to participate in.

No safety, background-check, or organizer guarantee

Unless RunIt expressly states otherwise for a specific offering, RunIt is not the organizer, league, venue operator, coach, medical provider, emergency service, insurer, or background-check provider for user-created activities. We do not guarantee the identity, history, conduct, skill, health, eligibility, equipment, venue, accuracy, or safety of any user, host, game, or location. Follow venue rules, use sound judgment, and leave or decline any situation that appears unsafe.

Reputation and “verified” signals

RunIt may display reputation, participation, identity, activity, or other platform signals. “Verified” and similar labels mean only the specific verification described by RunIt; they are not background checks, endorsements, guarantees of identity or character, safety certifications, or promises of future conduct. Reputation and rating information may be incomplete, delayed, disputed, or changed as records are reviewed.

Peer feedback must be based on the submitter’s genuine first-hand RunIt interaction and must not be fabricated, coordinated, retaliatory, discriminatory, submitted to manipulate another person’s reputation, or based on a legally protected characteristic. RunIt may disregard, exclude, investigate, or moderate feedback that appears unreliable, abusive, manipulated, unrelated to the relevant interaction, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms or our community rules.

Reputation reviews and appeals

Where available, you may request review of an incorrect reputation event, a technical or host error, feedback you reasonably believe is retaliatory, biased, coordinated, or associated with the wrong person or game, or another supported reputation issue. RunIt may temporarily exclude a challenged reputation input from active reputation calculations or displays while it is under review. Review outcomes may include upholding, correcting, excusing, or removing the challenged input. For eligible adverse initial decisions, RunIt may provide a second-level review by a different reviewer. We may keep an appropriate safety restriction in place during review when reasonably necessary to address a credible safety, fraud, abuse, or security risk. Reviewers are not required to disclose confidential anti-abuse methods, proprietary scoring weights, reporter identities, or information whose disclosure could create retaliation, privacy, safety, or system-integrity risk.

Limits on use of RunIt reputation

RunIt reputation, Rep, Trust, ratings, and related signals are designed for recreational-sports participation and community features within RunIt. You may not scrape, sell, license, export, compile, or use these signals to determine another person’s eligibility for employment or contracting, housing, credit or lending, insurance, education admission, healthcare eligibility, government benefits, background screening, or another regulated or similarly high-stakes decision unless RunIt has expressly authorized that use in writing following appropriate legal review.

Community rules

You may not use RunIt to harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, impersonate, defraud, stalk, dox, or endanger another person; facilitate illegal activity; interfere with the service; evade enforcement; manipulate reputation or rating systems; coordinate false or retaliatory feedback; publish another person’s private information without authorization; or upload unlawful or abusive content. We may investigate reports, preserve relevant records, remove or restrict content, exclude abusive reputation inputs, limit features, or suspend accounts to protect users and the service.

Your content

You remain responsible for content you submit. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it and that doing so does not violate law or another person’s rights. You grant RunIt a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, transmit, adapt for technical delivery, moderate, and otherwise use your content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service. This license ends when the content is deleted except to the extent continued retention is reasonably necessary for backups, safety, legal compliance, enforcement, or content that other users have independently retained or reshared where permitted.

Safety and removal requests

Use in-app reporting where available for harmful content or conduct. RunIt also maintains a Safety & Removal Request process for nonconsensual intimate imagery and other serious safety reports. Copyright complaints are handled under our Copyright Policy.

Privacy and location

Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle account, activity, device, support, safety, and optional location information. Precise device location is requested only when an applicable feature asks for it and you grant device/browser permission. Do not share sensitive personal information in public content or game details.

Beta service

Features, reputation displays, supported sports, availability, integrations, beta access, and product behavior may change. We may modify, pause, discontinue, or limit beta features. Beta access does not guarantee future availability, pricing, features, or public launch timing.

Third-party services and merchandise

RunIt may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Merchandise checkout, payment, tax, shipping, fulfillment, returns, or related functions may be performed by the identified commerce provider rather than RunIt; review the terms shown during purchase.

Disclaimers and limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the beta service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. RunIt’s final jurisdiction-specific liability, dispute-resolution, governing-law, and venue provisions will be reviewed by qualified counsel before unrestricted public launch.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify RunIt and its personnel from third-party claims arising from your unlawful content, your conduct, your organization of or participation in activities, or your material breach of these Terms, except to the extent a claim results from RunIt’s own conduct for which liability cannot legally be shifted.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms as the beta evolves. Material changes may require renewed acceptance. You may stop using RunIt at any time and can use available account-deletion controls. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination may continue to apply.

These beta Terms intentionally avoid selecting arbitration, governing-law, venue, and jurisdiction-specific waiver language before counsel review. Those provisions should be finalized before unrestricted public launch.
